Waste Management & Sanitation Enhancement Project

The Waste Management & Sanitation Enhancement Project is designed to tackle the growing problem of waste accumulation in Basse. Currently, poor waste disposal practices contribute to environmental pollution, health hazards, and clogged drainage systems. This project will establish an organized waste collection and recycling system to ensure cleaner streets and a healthier living environment.

A key component of the project is the construction of a modern waste processing and recycling center. This facility will process organic waste into compost for agricultural use and recycle plastics into reusable materials. BAC will introduce a structured waste collection schedule and provide waste bins to households and businesses to encourage proper disposal. Community cleanup initiatives and awareness campaigns will also be conducted to educate residents about the benefits of responsible waste management.

Expected Impact:

  • Cleaner Environment: Reduced littering and better waste management practices.
  • Public Health Improvement: Lower risks of diseases caused by poor sanitation.
  • Job Creation: Employment opportunities in waste collection and recycling sectors.
